Engen Refinery
In South Africa, our subsidiary Engen Ltd’s refinery was the country’s first oil refinery when it came on-stream in 1954 and to this day, it remains one of the country’s major producers of refined petroleum products.

The facility, located in Durban, has a current nominal capacity of 125,000 barrels a day.

It is designed to give maximum flexibility in producing basic fuels, and a wide range of high quality by-products including liquefied petroleum gas, petrol, diesel, lubricants, pentane, solvents, paraffin, jet-fuel, sulphur, chemical feedstock, exotic solvents, bunker oil fuel and bitumen.
